The app is published by ABALABS, rue Saint-Exupéry, 29470 Plougastel-Daoulas, France, SIRET 909 269 367 00035, reachable at [email protected] ("we"). See also the legal notice.

02The service

Easy Médecine is a practice app for medical students in France (PASS, LAS, years 1 to 3). It offers in particular MCQ quizzes by subject and year, detailed corrections, mistake review, spaced repetition, timed mock exams, statistics, a weekly challenge with rankings and a season league. The app and its content are in French.

The app can be downloaded for free. Some features are reserved for the Premium offer (see section 7). The app contains no advertising.

03Educational content

Questions, answers and corrections are written and reviewed with care. They are provided for practice purposes and may contain errors or inaccuracies, or not reflect the exact curriculum or expectations of your medical school. We do not guarantee that they are absolutely accurate or complete.

You can report a question from the app. We correct and expand the content regularly, with no commitment to a specific timeframe.

04Challenge account and profile

The app can be used without an account. If you join the challenge, an anonymous account is created automatically, with no email or password, and you choose:

• a username;
• your year of study;
• your medical school (optional);
• your profile visibility: public (you appear in the rankings) or private (you play and see your score, but don't appear in any ranking).

You agree to create and use only one account and to choose the year and medical school that match your actual situation.

This anonymous account is tied to the installation of the app on your device. If you uninstall the app or change devices, it may not be recoverable. Your Premium purchases, however, can be restored through your App Store or Google Play account.

05Challenge rules

• Every week, a new paper of 40 questions is offered, identical for all students in the same year. You can play it whenever you like during the week, until the next paper is published.
• You have one attempt per challenge, or two with Premium. The second attempt uses the same questions and it is your last submitted paper that counts, even if its score is lower than the first.
• Papers are marked out of 40 using the mock exam scheme: for a single-answer question, 1 or 0 points; for a multiple-answer question, 1, 0.5, 0.2 or 0 points depending on the number of discrepancies.
• The ranking is based on score, then on time for equal scores. The correction is revealed at the end of the week.
• The season league runs from September to August. Each challenge earns points based on your ranking. Medical schools are ranked weekly and over the season based on their players' results.
• Private profiles do not appear in any ranking.
• The challenge is a free game, with no purchase necessary, and does not give rise to any winnings, prize or reward, in cash or in kind. Rankings and league points have no monetary value.

Fictitious candidates

To liven up the challenge at launch, while the number of participants is low, fictitious candidates generated by us may appear in the rankings. This is temporary and will end at the latest around April 2027.

Adjustments

We may cancel or correct a faulty question and recalculate scores and rankings accordingly, or cancel a challenge in the event of a technical incident.

06Prohibited conduct and sanctions

It is prohibited to:

• choose a username that is offensive, discriminatory, sexual, promotional or unlawful, or that impersonates another person (student, teacher, public figure, medical school, etc.);
• create or use several accounts;
• cheat: share the questions or answers of the current challenge, play on behalf of someone else, use an automated program, or exploit a technical flaw;
• extract, mass-copy or reuse the app's questions and corrections (see section 10);
• interfere with the operation of the app or its servers.

In the event of a breach, depending on its seriousness, we may change a username, cancel a paper, remove a player from a ranking or the league, or delete their challenge profile, without notice where the situation requires it. These measures do not affect Premium purchases, which remain usable for the other features. You can write to us to dispute a decision.

07Premium and subscriptions

What the offer includes

The free version includes 3 quizzes and 1 mock exam per day, the weekly challenge, the league and rankings, and basic statistics. The Premium offer adds: unlimited quizzes and mock exams; mistake review, spaced repetition and reminders; advanced statistics; a second challenge attempt; a crown badge in the rankings.

Offers and prices

• Monthly: one-month subscription, €4.99 per month, preceded by a 7-day free trial (see below);
• Yearly: one-year subscription, €47.99 per year;
• Lifetime: one-time payment of €92.99, with no renewal.

These prices are indicative and include all taxes. The price shown by the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase prevails; it may vary depending on your country and price changes. Any change to the price of an ongoing subscription is notified to you by the store under its own rules.

7-day free trial (monthly subscription)

• The monthly subscription starts with a 7-day free trial, giving access to all Premium features.
• The trial is reserved for App Store or Google Play accounts that have not already used it, under the store's eligibility rules.
• You can cancel at any time during the trial without being charged, from your App Store or Google Play account or in the app (Paramètres › Premium › Gérer mon abonnement). To avoid the first charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
• If you don't cancel, the monthly subscription starts automatically at the end of the 7 days: the price shown at purchase (€4.99 per month, indicative) is then charged, and every month after that.
• The trial length and the price that applies afterwards are shown by the store before you confirm.
• The Yearly and Lifetime offers do not include a free trial.

Payment and renewal

• Purchases are made and paid for through your App Store or Google Play account, which collects the payment. We never have access to your banking details.
• Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically for the same period, at the current price, unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal amount is charged within the 24 hours before the end of the period.
• If you subscribe to the Yearly or Lifetime offer during the free trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited. The store may also occasionally offer other promotions, whose terms are shown before purchase.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings, or in the app (Paramètres › Premium › Gérer mon abonnement). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period: Premium stays active until that date, and the period already started is not refunded. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.

Lifetime purchase

The Lifetime purchase gives access to the Premium features for as long as the app is distributed and operated, with no further payment. It is tied to the App Store or Google Play account used for the purchase and cannot be transferred between platforms (a purchase made on iOS does not unlock Premium on Android, and vice versa).

Restoring purchases

On a new device or after reinstalling, you can restore your purchases from the app, provided you use the same App Store or Google Play account.

Changes to the offer

We may change the content of the free and Premium offers. During a subscription period already paid for, we will not remove an essential Premium feature without an equivalent solution.

08Right of withdrawal and refunds

Premium is digital content supplied immediately after purchase. Under Article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal can no longer be exercised once performance has begun with your prior express consent and you have acknowledged losing this right, which you do by confirming the purchase in the store for immediate access.

Since purchases are billed by Apple or Google, refund requests are subject to their rules and must be sent to them:

• App Store: reportaproblem.apple.com;
• Google Play: Google Play refund help.

We cannot directly refund a purchase made through a store. These rules do not deprive consumers of the legal guarantees that apply to them, in particular the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content (Articles L224-25-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code).

09App Store and Google Play terms

Your use of the app is also subject to the terms of the store you downloaded it from. If you obtained it from Apple's App Store:

• these terms are concluded between you and ABALABS, not with Apple; ABALABS, not Apple, is solely responsible for the app and its content;
• Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support services for the app;
• if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price; to the extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app;
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app (product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection, third-party intellectual property rights); such claims are ABALABS's responsibility;
• you represent that you are not located in a country subject to a United States embargo and that you are not listed on any United States government list of restricted parties;
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.

10Intellectual property

The app, its questions, answers, corrections and explanations, its database, texts, design, logo and the name "Easy Médecine" are the property of ABALABS or are used with permission. They are protected by copyright and by database producers' rights (Articles L341-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code).

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the app for your revision, for non-commercial purposes. Any reproduction, extraction or reuse, in whole or in part, of the content (for example copying questions to another medium, website, sharing group or app) is prohibited without our written consent.

11Availability and changes

We do our best to keep the app and the challenge running continuously, but cannot guarantee it: interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates or incidents, including at our providers. We may change the app and add, modify or remove features and content. Some changes may require installing the latest version of the app.

12Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we cannot be held liable for:

• the consequences of using the educational content, including your results in exams and competitive examinations or any medical decision based on this content;
• a temporary interruption of the service or the loss of data stored on your device;
• malfunctions of your device, your connection or the stores;
• the behaviour of other players, including their choice of username.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, for personal injury, or the rights you have under the mandatory provisions of the French Consumer Code.

13Personal data

The processing of your data is described in the privacy policy. To delete your data, see the Data deletion page.

14Term, deletion and suspension

These terms apply for as long as you use the app. You can stop using it at any time, delete your challenge data from the app (challenge profile › "Supprimer mes données") and uninstall the app. Deleting your data or uninstalling the app does not cancel an ongoing subscription: remember to cancel it from your store.

In the event of a serious or repeated breach of these terms, we may suspend or delete your challenge profile, as set out in section 6.

15Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for example to reflect changes to the app or to the law. The version and date at the top of this page are then updated. Significant changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. If you do not accept the new terms, you can stop using the app and cancel your subscription.

16Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer residing in another European Union country, you also benefit from the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence.

If there is a problem, please write to us first at [email protected]: we will look for an amicable solution. If you are a consumer and your written complaint has not been resolved, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge, in accordance with Articles L611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code; their contact details are available on request.

Failing agreement, the dispute will be brought before the competent French courts. Consumers may choose to bring proceedings before the court of the place where they lived when the contract was concluded or when the harmful event occurred.
